What we collect
If you submit pay, we collect the pay details you enter (trade, state, salary, experience, union status, optional job title) and your email — used only to verify the submission and, if you opt in, to send updates. If you subscribe to alerts, we collect your email and your trade/state/frequency preferences. We use privacy-respecting analytics that carry no personal identifiers.
How we protect your email
Our database never stores your raw email address — only a one-way hashed version, so a submission can't be tied back to you from our records. Your actual address lives only with our email provider for the messages you asked for, and you can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any email or on the manage subscription page.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal data. We don't show third-party ads. We don't publish anything that could identify an individual submitter — pay figures are only ever shown in aggregate. There are no tracking pixels in our emails.
